As our core competitiveness, BrightShines independently owns and manages an animal feeding facility and laboratory animal center that is in accordance of international SPF standards. The laboratory animal center has an area over 1300 square meters. The 660㎡barrier environment area (10000-degree purification) can be used to perform rat and mouse feeding and experiments; the 50㎡general environment area can perform regular animal experiments on rabbit, guinea pig, etc.; and the 600㎡auxiliary area includes control room, decontamination room, storage, air-conditioner unit room, switch room, and the elevator. Our laboratory animal center utilizes double-barrier IVC feeding approach for rat and mouse feeding to prevent cross-infection. Rabbit and guinea pig feeding uses dry cages. We now have the cage capacity of 500 for rats, 3000 for mice, 24 for rabbits, and 24 for guinea pigs.

Our laboratory animal center has an animal feeding room, a laboratory, a transgenic animal laboratory, and a sterile animal laboratory. We have obtained “Laboratory Animal Use License” from Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and we can provide services and technical support in research in physiology, pharmacodynamics, and metabolism.
